Prayer Request UPDATED: Daniel Giffin

Thank you so much for your ongoing prayers for Daniel Giffin and his family!

Daniel completed his 33 day treatment regimen last Friday and is back at school today!!  After talking to his mom this morning, it sounds like he will have some tests in about 5 weeks to determine the effectiveness of the treatment.  Please pray that no more tumors develop!!

Below are some  some specific ways we can continue help:

MEALS – Once again, thank you to everyone who has brought meals!

GIFT CARDS – These will continue to be collected for them at the front desk.

GOFUNDME – Financial help for medical and related expenses.

Prayer Request & Needs UPDATED: Hewitt Family Adoption

The Hewitts were able to bring their newest son, Kai, home last Friday just 3 days before he turned 14 and would have “aged out” in China. Kai is adjusting very well to all the change; he is very outgoing and is looking forward to meeting everyone around school!  The family is incredibly thankful for the support and prayers of the USCO community that carried them through these last few weeks.

If you would still like to help them through this time of adjustment and learning Kai’s various needs, gift cards for meals would still be greatly appreciated as they will have many appointments in the near future.  The cards can be dropped at the front desk in Butler.  These are some of their favorites places:

Papa Murphy’s

Rudy’s

Texas Roadhouse

Chick-Fil-A

Chipotle

Q-doba

Garden of the God’s Gourmet

Wild Ginger

Freddy’s

Tuesday Morning Prayer Meeting - Every Tuesday

7:45 – 8:15 in the Chapel

“There has never been a spiritual awakening in any country or locality that did not begin in united prayer.”—A. T. Pierson

Prayer is the most essential work of our ministry and fruitfulness to God. Come join us as we praise God for His excellence and ask for His mighty hand to lead this school and change hearts for all of eternity. Without prayer, our work is arrogant and will only bear bad fruit (John 15:5).  Let us humbly and diligently seek and come together in one accord and do the greatest thing we can do––pray.

THEATER STUDENTS SPRING BREAK TRIP TO NYC

Over Spring Break, 18 theater students and 7 chaperones had an amazing adventure in New York City. They were able to see 3 Broadway shows (Hamilton, Wicked, and Frozen). They also were trained by the very best during 7 workshops. The music director from Hamilton taught the singing class, a dancer from Hamilton taught the dance class, some of our students auditioned in front of professional Broadway casting agents, the Disney workshop focused on directing, etc. The sightseeing included the Statue of Liberty, 9/11 Memorial, The Empire State Building, Times Square, Trinity Church, China Town, Little Italy, and more!
Lots of laughs and lots of memories. Can’t wait for the next one!
