News & Events
“This week Daniel finishes his last day of 33 days in six weeks of radiation. This Friday he will ring the bell after his last treatment. He plans on coming back to school next week. His Walk, Run & Roll for Daniel fundraiser was a big success and he got a $7200 check. It was great to see so many school friends out.”
Below are some fun photos of the Walk, Run & Roll event and here are some specific ways we can help:
- MEALS – Once again, thank you to everyone who has brought meals!
- GIFT CARDS – These will continue to be collected for them at the front desk to help them while they finish commuting to Denver for treatments.
- GOFUNDME – To help financially.
Ryan Hewitt, our principal, and his family are adopting another son from China who they have named Micaiah. He and his oldest son, Braddock, are in China with Joe Couch currently completing the adoption process and will be back home by next week.
- While in China, Ryan fell and broke a few of his ribs, which makes lifting Micaiah difficult. Please pray for a quick recovery.
- Smooth upcoming flights, and no more complications with Micaiah’s oxygen.
- A nice transition for Micaiah and the family once arriving home, and quick recovery from jet lag.
- A praise report that Joe Couch is with them in China, and providing time for Ryan to rest. Now Joe’s family is also without dad at home. Please pray for provision over their family as well.
Many of you have asked how we can help them as they make this transition in their family. The way they have suggested for right now is by providing gift cards for meals. This will best allow them to maneuver their children’s eating needs, uncertain schedules, and multiple trips to Children’s Hospital they will be making over the next few months for Micaiah. These are some of their favorites:
- Papa Murphy’s
- Texas Roadhouse
- Garden of the God’s Gourmet
- Wild Ginger
The Hewitt family is so grateful for all your prayer and support during this important time for their family!
As you know, Schafer was able to go home on Friday, March 8, and he continues to be doing well and healing. Here are a couple of updates from info found on the “Schafer Updates” Facebook page:
- He has gained back at least half of the 35 pounds he lost but is still on a feeding tube to accommodate the deficit of calories that he requires.
PT and OT sessions are going well.
7:45 – 8:15 in the Chapel
“There has never been a spiritual awakening in any country or locality that did not begin in united prayer.” …..—A. T. Pierson
Prayer is the most essential work of our ministry and fruitfulness to God. Come join us as we praise God for His excellence and ask for His mighty hand to lead this school and change hearts for all of eternity. Without prayer, our work is arrogant and will only bear bad fruit (John 15:5). Let us humbly and diligently seek and come together in one accord and do the greatest thing we can do––pray.
Due to the Loft not being available, there will not be a prayer meeting on Wednesday, 4/3.
12:40-1:20 @ The Loft
All are welcome.
Come and seek Jesus with us!
